Community Interaction
Part of the philosophy of Meraki HavenCare is that service users placed with us actively gain access to community education and activities in order to prepare them for independent living. Those who stay with us are helped to develop their social skills through the group living experience as well as involvement in community activities.
Service users participate in a variety of community life experiences or interactions which may include:
- Leisure or recreational activities.
- Communication activities.
- Spiritual activities.
- Cultural activities.
- Volunteerism.
- Educational and training activities.
- Interacting with volunteers from the community in program activities.
- Community collaborations and social connections developed by the program (partnerships with community entities such as centers, arts councils, etc.).
