Education & Training

We encourage service users, who are able, to access education and training programmes and are committed to working in partnership with local authorities to obtain an education placement for service users in our care. Local education and training centres in the area will be contacted soon after the placement begins at Meraki HavenCare, and an appointment would be made for the service user to explore opportunities. In circumstances where a service user is attending a college at the time of admission, we make every effort to support them in maintaining their attendance, including provision of staff time to accompany them and collect them on a daily basis. By supporting the service user in relation to acquiring training qualifications at / college or an education centre this will enable them to possibly undertake a career of his/her choice.
